Welcome to Quinta Da Barroca Do Cabo. Just outside the authentic village of Ázere, in the green heart of Central Portugal, lies our small-scale quinta.
Years ago, we, Huub and Ellen, lost our hearts to this beautiful place. We left our hectic lives in the Netherlands behind and emigrated together with our horses, dogs and cat. We created our B&B with love and share it from the heart.
We wake up here every day with a smile on our faces, and we want our guests to experience the same. Guests who love a low-stimulus environment, peace, beautiful nature, walking and a place surrounded by our beloved animals are more than welcome. To preserve the peace, we cater exclusively to adults.
We rent out just two spacious rooms, each with a private bathroom and a shared living room. Photos and more information about the atmospheric rooms can be found

Additionally, enjoy several terraces, a swimming pool with sun loungers and two hectares of land with chickens and horses. A kitchen with a fridge is available, although cooking is not possible.
Our quinta is located in the versatile Tábua region and is surrounded by several mountain ranges, with less than an hour away the highest on mainland Portugal: the Serra da Estrela. Closer by there are also impressive hiking trails with natural beauty and waterfalls, many river beaches, you can rent bicycles and even kayak on the beautiful and peaceful Rio Mondego river.

In our small-scale B&B you can choose from two rooms: Room Azul and Room Verde.
Our rooms are furnished with care and love, where atmosphere and comfort come together naturally. Both rooms have lovely box-spring beds with soft bed linen. They are made up as a double bed with a topper as standard, but are also available as two separate single beds on request.
You have a private bathroom with shower and toilet; this is located in the hallway. The spacious, homely living room is shared when both rooms are in use. Reliable Wi-Fi is available.
You stay with us for 65 euros per room per night, including a delicious breakfast. Bookable from 2 nights. Please feel free to contact us about dietary requirements or other special requests.

Discover the beautiful surroundings From our quinta you can take many beautiful walks among the hills and eucalyptus trees or along the Rio Mondego river. In addition to the many authentic villages, you can reach several larger cities such as Viseu and Coimbra within an hour's drive. But also the Serra da Estrela or Caramulo mountains or one of the Fraga da Pena waterfalls, the many river beaches or the seaside resorts of Fiqueira da Foz or Praia de Mira are more than worth a visit.
